The Philippine Transmarine Carriers (PTC) Talent Acquisition Group's (TAG) active pursuit of creating career opportunities for every Filipino found its way to the City of Smiles, where they participated in the Bacolod City Government’s Valentine's Job Fair, organized by its Public Employment Services Office (PESO) last February 14 and 15, 2024, at the SMX Convention Center in SM City Bacolod. This marks the first time that PTC participated in a job fair in Bacolod. Over 600 job applicants had the opportunity to explore sea-based and land-based employment openings from 70 participating companies including Philippine Transmarine Carriers, Inc., Jebsen PTC Maritime, Inc., and Lifelinks International Resources, Inc.
The PTC Group's presence at the job fair was marked by enthusiasm and dedication to connecting with potential candidates. Recruitment representatives Ms. Mai Sotelo, PTC Iloilo Branch Manager; Capt. Ramilie Villaruz, Jebsen PTC Branch Manager; and Ms. Iris Dulla and Zhecil Tuble of Lifelinks International Resources, Inc. engaged with job seekers, offering insights into the diverse career opportunities available with their respective business units.
Ms. Jovelyn Canoy, PESO Manager, thanked the participation of PTC being the only shipping company present during the job fair. She hopes to collaborate further with PTC in future activities in Bacolod.
The PTC Talent Acquisition Group continues to promote the PTC brand and look for more talents with the help of the various business units across the PTC Group. Activities such as job fairs are an interactive platform for job seekers to explore opportunities, make connections, and enhance their job search efforts. Each interaction also paved the way for PTC to make a meaningful impact on the lives of aspiring Global Filipino Professionals who will move the world in more ways than one.
