Philippine Transmarine Carriers (PTC) RISE Program activates RPSS-CTP for Midway Colleges

The Philippine Transmarine Carriers (PTC) RISE Program team successfully conducted the Citizen Training Program (CTP) for students and teachers of Midway Colleges, as part of the RISE Program for Safe Schools (RPSS) held in Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija. 
Under the leadership of Philippine Transmarine Carriers (PTC) Talent Acquisition Group Program Manager Hector Brizuela, over 900 students and teachers participated in the program. They were taught proper preparedness before, during, and after hazards or emergencies that could lead to disasters.
In his Inspirational Message, Midway Colleges President and CEO Mr. Sabino Czar Manglicmot expressed gratitude to The PTC Group of Companies for the opportunity to impart essential knowledge about Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) to the youth and college leadership for their safety and well-being. He also encouraged everyone to volunteer in various DRR efforts and initiatives to help the community and fellow individuals. 
The team thanks the faculty and staff of Midway Colleges including Mr. Manglicmot, along with Academic Director Mr. Richard Oandasan, Office of Student Affairs Head Mr. Robi Mar Dayto, and all administrators and personnel for their support in making this program possible.
The Philippine Transmarine Carriers (PTC) Rise Team also visited the Manila Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO) last April 18 at their Emergency Operations Center (EOC) in Manila City Hall. 
Philippine Transmarine Carriers (PTC) TAG’s Hector Brizuela, and Josh McCarver, conducted discussions regarding the planned implementation of the RISE Program for Safe Schools in public schools in the City of Manila. This initiative aims to strengthen the Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) capacities of School Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officers (SDRRMOs). Manila DRRMO, led by Training Section Chief Mr. Michael Joseph Manuel, expressed gratitude for this opportunity to assist Manileños in enhancing their knowledge and skills in DRR.
The Philippine Transmarine Carriers (PTC) RISE Program team also toured the EOC where Mr. Manuel demonstrated and explained how the Manila DRRMO keeps the people of Manila safe from any hazards or dangers that could lead to disasters or emergencies.
