Mapúa-PTC College of Maritime Education and Training carries out Pre-Shipboard Orientation

The Mapúa-PTC College of Maritime Education and Training carried out the Pre-Shipboard Cadet Orientation for their 3rd-year students who are about to finish their 3-year classroom instruction this AY 2023-2024. Headed by Capt. Ryan Pinohermoso – Mapúa-PTC’s Onboard Training Supervisor, the orientation which was conducted last February 6 tackled different topics that the students need to know before their Onboard Training. These include the contents of the ISF Training Record Book, how to accomplish it and the different projects that they need to accomplish throughout their sea service; various documentary requirements that need to be submitted to CHED and Marina for their assessment, and the mandatory training that they need to take in order for them to undergo their mandatory seagoing service.
C/E Alfredo G. Haboc, the Mapua-PTC College of Maritime Education and Training (CMET) of Mapua Malayan Colleges (MMCL) Consultant, further explained the other provisions of the JCMMC 01, Series of 2023 which are critical in addressing the requirements of graduation for the BSMT or BSMarE course. |
