Capt. Ronald SJ Enrile, PTC Senior Adviser of the Shipping Cluster, participated in the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) meeting held on July 2 at the AMOSUP Convention Hall.

The session focused on reviewing the Standard Employment Contract (SEC) that governs the overseas employment of Filipino seafarers aboard ocean-going vessels.

During the meeting, members of the Joint Manning Group (JMG) were invited to present their insights and recommendations. Each member association submitted its comments, which were then consolidated into a unified JMG position. This collective input was formally submitted for consideration during the discussions.

Capt. Enrile's participation in this meeting underscored the importance of industry collaboration in ensuring that employment standards remain fair, relevant, and responsive to the evolving needs of Filipino seafarers.
