C/E Alfredo Haboc, Head of Education & Training, PTC Talent Acquisition Group, together with Ms. Ellen Fernandez, Chief Education Program Specialist of the Programs Standards and Development (OPSD) - Maritime Education Unit (MEU) under the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), represented CHED in the finalization of the Philippine response to the European Commission (EC) Report findings on the country's maritime education and training standards.
C/E Haboc was part of the task force that participated in a 10-day lock-in workshop at the Lima Park Hotel in Malvar, Batangas to work on the Philippine response. The task force was composed of MARINA and CHED personnel and also included MARINA Administrator VADM Robert Empedrad, STCW Executive Director Admiral Rene Villena Medina, and STCWO Deputy Executive Director Capt. Jeffrey Solon.
