PTC conducts mock interview sessions with La Consolacion College students

JANUARY 26, 2024

On January 25, 2024, the PTC Talent Acquisition Group and La Consolacion College - Tanauan (LCCT) conducted a successful mock interview activity at the First Maritime Place in Makati City. This is the first time that both PTC and LCCT have conducted this activity, providing a valuable experience to the participating 3rd and 4th year students.

The involvement of the PTCI HR Shipping Cluster and PTCH HR with over 20 participating students adds a practical dimension to their learning experience. Each session had a 10-minute interview including a career mentoring period which provided the PTC HR teams comprised of Mary Grace Boyles, Kim Edrianne Imperial, Emily Jane Arnoco, Anna Sophia Marticio, and Shaireen Almanza a chance to give valuable feedback to the students.

Capt. Ronald Enrile, SVP for Shipmanagement and Head of PTC-TAG gave a message to the students and hoped that they would learn something while at PTC. "To all of you who participated in this mock interview activity, this is an excellent opportunity for you to practice your skills and learn from this experience. I hope that you took away valuable insights that you can apply in your future careers. I would also like to thank LCCT for trusting PTC and choosing us as your partner in this learning journey, and I hope that this is just the beginning of a long and fruitful partnership," he said.

The LCCT students were also given a tour of First Maritime Place, which also provided a better understanding of the company's culture and values. Angelika Quiatchon, a BSBA Marketing student shared, "I would like to express my gratitude to PTC for giving us this incredible opportunity to learn and grow with this company. We are so very grateful because we feel overwhelmed with the experience, even the employees and everyone we encountered here are very accommodating, and the place is just lovely, we actually want to come back very soon. To my fellow LCCians, I hope we all learned, adapted, and grew from this activity that we participated in today."

Alona Cabrera, LCCT External Affairs Director and Laarni Nombrefia, LCCT Guidance Counselor expressed their heartfelt gratitude to PTC-TAG for their unwavering support and cooperation in making the activity a success. Alona shared, "Thank you very much po sa PTC because you are very easy to invite to our activities despite our school’s far location. I know that we share the same mission and vision for the future of our students. Even our President wants to come back here again because they see the valuable advocacy of PTC in preparing and helping students find not just any job, but one that upholds professionalism and values. Thank you is not enough.”

The PTC Group also turned over reference and fiction books from Carmel Mission Basilica of California through the PTC-CSJ Foundation, to benefit over 2000 elementary and high school students of LCC Tanauan.

The PTC Talent Acquisition Group is honored to have played a part in empowering LCCT students, and is excited about the possibilities that lie ahead.
