JUNE 9, 2023

Mr. Gerardo Borromeo, Philippine Transmarine Carriers (PTC) CEO; Ms. Karen Avelino, PTC Executive Director of Business Development for Shipping and Senior Vice President of Cruise Operations; and Ms. Jennifer Chua, FMSS General Manager, joined members of the US Embassy in Manila, and the Philippine Coast Guard in a reception dinner welcoming the U.S. Coast Guard (USCGC) Cutter Stratton last June 2 at the Port Area of Manila.

USCGC Stratton (WMSL 752) arrived in Manila, Philippines, on June 1 for a tri-lateral engagement with the Philippine and Japan Coast Guards. Stratton is deployed to the Western Pacific under U.S. Navy 7th Fleet command to serve as a non-escalatory asset for the promotion of a rules-based order in the maritime domain by engaging with partner nations and allies in the region.

U.S. Ambassador to the Philippines MaryKay Carlson, Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Vice Admiral Rolando Lizor Punzalan Jr., and Captain Toru Imai of the Japanese Coast (JCG)Guard were among those who graced the event. "We are grateful to celebrate the achievements of PCG, USCG, and JCG aboard the USCG Cutter Stratton led by Capt. Krautler as our countries sail toward a stronger maritime partnership," said Ambassador Carlson during the event.
