PTC Group runners joined the maritime industry in honoring the heroism of Filipino seafarers at the 14th FAME Fun Run organized by the Filipino Association for Mariners' Employment, Inc. last July 29 at the SM By the Bay in Pasay City. Runners from various companies under the PTC Group braved the rains and the cold weather to race in the 3k, 5k, and 10k categories as a fitting tribute to the hard work and sacrifice of all our noble Filipino seafarers.
"The rain didn't stop us from running, having fun, and doing our best in honor of our Filipino Global Maritime Professionals," said Ms. Karen Avelino, PTC Executive Director of Business Development for Shipping and Senior Vice President of Cruise Operations, after successfully finishing her 10k run. Karmel Avelino, daughter of Ms. Karen Avelino, and Claire Bernardo, both representing PTC, finished 2nd and 3rd in the Women's Division. |
