RSE Foundation delivers hot meals to flood-affected families in Santa Cruz, Laguna
NOVEMBER 14 2025
In response to Super Typhoon Uwan (Fung-Wong), the RSE Foundation continues its commitment to support affected families through Hot Meals Distribution held in Barangay Santisima Cruz, Santa Cruz, Laguna, on November 12, 2025.
A total of 286 families were served freshly prepared hot meals across three evacuation centers: Santisima Cruz Covered Court, Santisima Old Barangay Hall, and Pilot Evacuation Center.
Access to the evacuation centers remains challenging due to knee-deep flooding. Many evacuees have been staying there since July, as the waters have yet to subside. “Despite months of displacement, their resilience shines through. Some have even set up small sari-sari stores within the evacuation centers to meet daily needs,” shared Chloe Balmaceda, RSE Foundation Program Associate.
The evacuees expressed heartfelt gratitude for the lugaw that was distributed, which arrived just in time for breakfast. “This moment highlights the importance of timely and thoughtful support in alleviating the hardships faced by communities during disasters,” Chloe added.
This initiative is part of RSE Foundation’s continuous humanitarian efforts to provide comfort, nourishment, and compassion to families affected by disasters.
