PTC TAG and OLFU forge new partnership to strengthen maritime career readiness
MAY 2, 2025

On April 14, 2025, the PTC Talent Acquisition Group (TAG) met virtually with the Central Placement Office of Our Lady of Fatima University (OLFU) to launch a promising new partnership focused on enhancing career readiness—particularly for students pursuing maritime careers.
TAG representatives Benjie M. Bautista, Chino Morri Hernandez, Jessie James Estanislao, and Marc Alexander Pesquira joined OLFU Placement Officers Glomer Ann A. Camayra and Ma. Kristia R. Lim in the discussion. The meeting centered on how The PTC Group—one of the country’s leading maritime organizations—can support OLFU students through real-world exposure and training.
Key areas of collaboration include on-the-job training (OJT) for maritime cadets, participation in career fairs, and hosting industry-focused learning sessions. These initiatives aim to bridge the gap between academic learning and the practical demands of the maritime profession.
OLFU also invited The PTC Group to take part in its upcoming career fair on May 19, 2025, at the Valenzuela campus—offering a vital platform for maritime students to engage with experienced professionals and potential employers.
Founded in 1967, OLFU has evolved into a multi-campus university with robust programs in Marine Transportation (BSMT) and Marine Engineering (BSMarE), designed to meet international standards. The university also offers strong programs in related fields such as Tourism and Hospitality Management, Nursing, and Business Administration.
This new collaboration is expected to further align OLFU’s maritime training with industry needs—preparing students not only for graduation but for a successful and sustainable career at sea.
