In a heartfelt show of solidarity and compassion, The PTC Group turned over its donation to Caritas Manila’s Alay Kapwa Project last May 13. The donation was made possible through the generosity of PTC Group employees who contributed via monthly salary deductions as part of their commitment to the PTC Gives Back initiative.
Launched in celebration of PTC’s anniversary last February, PTC Gives Back aims to empower employees to actively support programs that uplift communities and promote sustainability.
The Alay Kapwa Project, spearheaded by Caritas Manila, is an evangelization and fundraising program that supports the Church’s mission of helping the poor and vulnerable. Through this initiative, Caritas is able to provide emergency relief, livelihood programs, and long-term development assistance to those in need. By contributing to this cause, the PTC Group community continues to practice the value of malasakit, especially for the most underserved sectors of society.
The donation was officially turned over by Mr. Rolly Palad of PTC Insurance to Fr. Tito Caluag, Executive Director of Caritas Manila, during a special mass for the Feast of Our Lady of Fatima held last May 9 at the Penthouse of First Maritime Place. The mass was also offered in thanksgiving for the 15th anniversary of First Maritime Credit Corporation (FMCC), making the occasion a meaningful convergence of faith, gratitude, and service.
