On June 26, 2025, PTC welcomed a delegation of graduate students from the World Maritime University’s Maritime Education and Training (MET) program as part of their field study visit to the Philippines. The group comprised 11 students representing maritime administrations and institutions from Ethiopia, Nigeria, South Africa, Peru, Liberia, Bangladesh, Cape Verde, and the Philippines. They were accompanied by Prof. Anne Pazaver (Canada) and representatives from MARINA.

The visit featured presentations from PTC executives on maritime talent development, the Just Transition to greener shipping, and fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in the maritime workforce. The students also toured PHILCAMSAT and joined a fun game on Philippine maritime history, following a brief introduction to the Museo del Galeón.

The visit concluded with an open forum and dialogue session with the WMU students, followed by dinner and socials at the Penthouse. The program provided a platform for meaningful exchange on maritime education, global workforce challenges, and future collaboration opportunities.
