Philippine Register of Shipping marks 36 years of maritime excellence

The Philippine Register of Shipping, Inc. (PRS) celebrated its 36th anniversary at the Manila Prince Hotel last June 26. Present were industry partners, stakeholders, and employees.

In his welcome remarks, Capt. Ronald SJ Enrile, Chairman of PRS, emphasized the organization's unwavering mission: "to enhance and promote the safety of life and property at sea, and to protect our marine environment."

"For over three decades, this mission has driven every decision we make, every service we provide, and every standard we uphold," Capt. Enrile said. He highlighted PRS's commitment to equipping shipowners with the skills, knowledge, and technical support to go beyond compliance and achieve excellence.

He expressed gratitude to the PRS team for their dedication and to stakeholders for their trust, saying, "Our strength lies in the skills, technical foundation, and in the trust placed in us by our industry partners and maritime professionals."

Looking ahead, Capt. Enrile underscored the importance of higher standards, smarter solutions, and stronger collaborations.

The evening closed with a collective commitment to a safer, sustainable maritime industry.
