Jebsen PTC Maritime cadets join PEOS kick-off for International Day of the Seafarer
JUNE 26, 2025

Six cadets from Jebsen PTC Maritime, Inc., representing four different principals: Dockendale Ship Management, Ningbo Zrich Shipping Co., Ltd., Union Marine Management Services (UMMS), and Densay Ship Management and Technical Services DMCC, were present at the official launch of the Pre-Employment Orientation Seminar (PEOS) held on June 23, 2025, at the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) Central Office in Mandaluyong City.
The event marked the beginning of the weeklong celebration of the International Day of the Seafarer.
The cadets in attendance were:
1.E/C John Kenneth Mangui – Dockendale Ship Management (African Cormorant vessel)
2.E/C Leonel Karl Andino – Ningbo Zrich Shipping Co., Ltd. (Haut Brion vessel)
3.D/C Michelle Acuña – Union Marine Management Services (Maye Manx vessel)
4.E/C Cylslejoi Andrae Pagalawan – Union Marine Management Services (Maye Manx vessel) D/C Jayson Quiambao – Densay Ship Management and Technical Services DMCC (SSI Invictus vessel)
5.E/C Nathaniel Benis – Densay Ship Management and Technical Services DMCC (SSI Invictus, Fleet 1)
The participation of the Jebsen PTC Maritime cadets reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to producing not only skilled future Global Maritime Professionals but also well-informed, responsible, and globally competitive seafarers.
The event also served as a platform for the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the DMW and the Philippine Association of Maritime Institutions (PAMI), aimed at strengthening maritime education through early orientation programs.
Under the new partnership, PEOS will now be extended to maritime students from PAMI member schools, equipping them with knowledge of seafarers’ rights and responsibilities under the Magna Carta for Seafarers, the overseas employment process, safety at sea, and the prevention of illegal recruitment.
For the Jebsen PTC Maritime cadets, the PEOS kick-off offered a meaningful opportunity to deepen their understanding of their chosen profession and affirm their role as future Global Maritime Professionals.
