Youth leaders in Bacoor learn DRR through play with PTC RISE's M.O.D. demo

JULY 4, 2025

As part of its ongoing commitment to strengthening disaster preparedness in local communities, the PTC RISE Program team conducted a “Master of Disaster” (MOD) Board Game demonstration for the members of the Bacoor City Local Youth Development Council (LYDC) on June 27, 2025, at the Bacoor Government Center.

Led by PTC Talent Acquisition Group Lead Program Officer Josh McCarver, the activity introduced LYDC members to a more engaging and interactive way to learn about Disaster Preparedness and Response during their 2nd Quarter Meeting.

The initiative forms part of the broader partnership between the PTC RISE Program and the City Government of Bacoor under the RISE Program for Seafarer Communities, which seeks to build disaster-resilient communities through education and capacity-building. PTC extends its gratitude to Mayor Strike B. Revilla, Bacoor City LYDO OIC Angie Cariaso, and the entire LYDC for their continued support and collaboration. Together, we remain committed to promoting innovative and youth-focused approaches to Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) in building safer, more resilient communities.
