PHILCAMSAT continues to strengthen its position as a premier provider of maritime and offshore safety training in the Philippines after successfully passing the OPITO certification audit held last June 23–24, 2025. The audit approved three additional OPITO-accredited training programs focused on offshore personnel boat travel and transfer, enhancing the center’s capacity to serve the evolving needs of the industry.

The newly certified programs include Travel Safely by Boat (TSbB) Initial Training, TSbB Further Training, and TSbB Supplementary Training—Personnel Transfer Basket at Sea. These additions reaffirm PHILCAMSAT’s commitment to equipping Filipino offshore professionals with globally recognized safety standards.

The TSbB Initial Training course is designed for new entrants and personnel who travel by boat to offshore installations. It covers essential safety practices and emergency response procedures to ensure safe travel and transfer operations. The TSbB Further Training course serves as a refresher for those who have previously completed the initial training, reinforcing their competence in handling routine offshore transfers.

Meanwhile, the TSbB Supplementary Training—Personnel Transfer Basket at Sea addresses the unique risks and skills required for personnel transfers using a basket at sea. This course provides focused training and assessment to ensure safe and effective execution of this specialized transfer method.
