PTC inspires future hospitality and tourismprofessionals at ASAS Convention

FEBRUARY 14, 2025

The Association of Schools of the Augustinian Sisters (ASAS) Hospitality and Tourism Management National Convention 2025 marked a significant milestone in the ongoing collaboration between the PTC Talent Acquisition Group (TAG) and La Consolacion College Tanauan. Held on February 7, 2025, the convention brought together students from La Consolacion College campuses across the country, including Manila, Caloocan, Tanauan, Daet, and Bacolod.

With the theme "Synergetic Collaboration: Unifying La Consolacion Colleges and University Hospitality and Tourism Management for Global and Multicultural Education," the event showcased the power of partnership and shared learning.

Two esteemed PTC professionals, Benjie Bautista, PTC-TAG Manager, and Hector Manuel Jon Brizuela, PTC-TAG Pipeline Engagement Program Manager, shared invaluable insights with the students. Benjie focused on Collaborative Leadership, emphasizing the importance of fostering trust, empowering teams, and cultivating a shared vision. She highlighted how dynamic team engagement is essential for building strong, successful organizations—an especially relevant message for students collaborating across multiple campuses.

Meanwhile, Hex addressed Interpersonal Communication for Leadership and Safety, drawing from the experiences of PTC Global Maritime Professionals. He emphasized the significance of effective communication in ensuring safety onboard vessels and encouraged students to adopt collaborative communication practices within an organization. He reinforced that these skills extend beyond the maritime industry and are essential in any professional setting.

The ongoing partnership between PTC and La Consolacion College Tanauan serves as a powerful example of synergy between education and industry. By providing students with opportunities to engage in meaningful discussions and develop essential leadership and communication skills, these initiatives equip them for success in diverse, multicultural environments, especially in the field of Hospitality and Tourism.
