Beyond education and health, PTC employees also engaged in environmental conservation by planting mangrove seedlings in Calatagan, Batangas, in partnership with the RSE Foundation. A total of 1,000 new bakawan seedlings (Rhizophora mucronata, apiculata, and stylosa) were planted, reinforcing PTC’s commitment to sustainability and coastal protection.
The seedlings were planted last February 20 and 21 at “Ang Pulo,” also known as the Calatagan Mangrove Forest Conservation Park (CMFCP), a 7.5 hectare Marine Protected Area (MPA) in Batangas, Philippines. The Pro-Mangrove Alliance and Implementing Team and Arm as Kilitisan's Advocates of Nature (PALITAKAN) is the local organization that manages the park.
Another significant component of PTC Gives Back is the Alay Kapwa donation drive, which empowers employees to extend their generosity through financial contributions. Employees may pledge a minimum of ₱100 either monthly or annually via payroll deduction or direct contributions to the Alay Kapwa Expanded Fund Campaign. Those who wish to document their pledge can sign a Commitment Form, while anonymous donations are also welcome.
Through PTC Gives Back, PTC Group continues to champion a culture of service, ensuring that its legacy extends beyond the workplace and into the communities that need it most. As PTC celebrates 46 years of excellence, its commitment to making a difference remains stronger than ever.
