PTC, in coordination with the Data Privacy Council (Manning Sea-Based Sector), hosted an Orientation Seminar for New Data Privacy Officers (DPOs) on August 15 at First Maritime Place. The session featured Atty. Mikhael Soriano from the National Privacy Commission as the guest speaker and was attended by DPOs from various manning agencies.

The seminar provided a valuable platform for learning, best practice sharing, and open discussions on ensuring compliance with the country’s Data Privacy laws. Through this initiative, participating DPOs strengthened their collective knowledge and commitment to safeguarding personal data—contributing to a stronger and more compliant maritime manning sector.
