SEPTEMBER 30, 2024
Resilience and Sustainability for Empowerment Foundation (RSEF) and Constellation Travel Inc. (CTI) announced on October 11, 2024, a strategic partnership to launch the Safe4Shores Program. This collaborative initiative aims to protect and restore coastal ecosystems through mangrove planting initiatives, contributing to climate change mitigation, and enhancing the resilience of coastal communities.
In celebration of its anniversary, CTI will kick off the Safe4Shores Program with a mangrove planting activity on October 12 in Noveleta, Cavite. This event will mark the beginning of a two-year effort to propagate 2000 mangrove papules in critical coastal areas within Batangas and Cavite.
“We are thrilled to partner with Constellation Travel Inc. on this important initiative,” said Capt. Ronald SJ Enrile, Executive Director of RSEF. “Mangrove planting is a sustainable and effective way to address the impacts of climate change and protect vulnerable coastal communities. By working together, we can make a significant contribution to the health and well-being of our environment.”
“Constellation Travel Inc. is committed to responsible tourism and environmental stewardship,” said Jon Marnic Adriano, Head of Constellation Travel Inc. “We believe that supporting initiatives like the Safe4Shores Program is essential to ensuring a sustainable future for our planet and the communities we serve.”
The Safe4Shores Program will involve local communities in the mangrove planting activities, fostering environmental awareness and promoting sustainable livelihood opportunities. RSEF and Constellation Travel Inc. will also collaborate with government agencies, academic institutions, and other stakeholders to ensure the long-term success of the program.
