In celebration of the 25th National Maritime Week and the 29th National Seafarers Day, the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) hosted a Mega Job Fair last September 22, 2024, at the Exhibition Hall 2, SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City. Dubbed “Disenteng Trabaho Para sa Mga Marinong Pilipino,” the one-day event aimed to bring maritime career opportunities closer to Filipino jobseekers.

Jebsen PTC Maritime Inc. (JPMI) proudly participated alongside 36 other manning agencies to connect with Global Maritime Professionals (GMPs). Representing Jebsen PTC at the fair were team members Vannie Ben, Richelle Fernandez, and Rosette Torres from JPMI, along with Demmie David and Giovanni Tan from Olympic Jebsen Offshore, Inc. (OJOS). The turnout was particularly strong for cruise ship positions, with JPMI and OJOS receiving a combined total of more than 1,000 applications.

Philippine Transmarine Carriers, Inc. was also present, supporting the recruitment and hiring of Filipino GMPs. The one-day fair was a resounding success, attracting over 5,000 applicants seeking promising career opportunities in the maritime industry.

JPMI remains committed to collaborating with the DMW and looks forward to continuing its efforts in shaping and supporting the Filipino maritime workforce.
