
The Mapúa-PTC College of Maritime Education and Training proudly celebrated the achievements of its latest graduates during the 24th Commencement Exercises of Mapúa Malayan Colleges Laguna (Mapúa-MCL), held on October 29, 2024, at the Philippine International Convention Center.
A total of 27 graduates from the Mapúa-PTC College of Maritime Education and Training received their diplomas, including a distinguished scholar from PTC-CSJ, D/Cdt. Juan Patricio Castillo is a member of the Nurturing Future Seafarers (NFS) Batch 2 Project. Many graduates gained invaluable experience serving onboard prestigious shipping companies such as Oldendorff Carriers, UMMS, and Dockendale Ship Management.

Among the graduating class, eight students were honored with Latin Honors. Notably, six of these graduates served aboard Oldendorff Carriers: OIC-NW Tomhelson Gerar Alivio (Cum Laude), D/Cdt. Mark Kevin Grafil (Cum Laude), OIC-NW Gabriel Librea (Cum Laude), D/Cdt. Frederick Bryan Rosal (Magna Cum Laude), D/Cdt. John Robert Ternora (Magna Cum Laude), and D/Cdt. Feliz Andrei Kalalo (Summa Cum Laude). Additionally, D/Cdt. Michael Villar (Magna Cum Laude) represented Berge Bulk, while D/Cdt. Gabriel Manalastas (Cum Laude) hailed from Zodiac Maritime Ltd.
This year’s ceremony marked a significant milestone for the Mapúa-PTC College of Maritime Education and Training, as it proudly awarded its first-ever Summa Cum Laude honor since the college’s establishment in 2008.
