Teamwork, Adaptability & Gratitude: Essentials for Letran’s future Global Filipino Professionals

As the PTC’s Talent Acquisition Group (TAG) continues to work
proactively with schools to pave the way for opportunities for
future Global Filipino Professionals, Letran’s Career and
Placement Services Unit (CPSU) invited representatives from PTC
to its Career Mentoring & Mock Job Interview Sessions.

The sessions were conducted from November 14 to 18 and
included a 10-minute virtual mock job interview and career
mentoring session via GMeet. This gave a chance for the PTC
Group’s Mark Hernandez, HRBP, Shipping Cluster, and John
Karlo Rosin, HRAD, Constellation Travels, Inc. to participate and
promote their respective business units with the participating
students.

“Giving back to the community,
including our partner
universities, is such a great joy
to participate in. I fondly recall
how I started in this career, as
a young and ambitious fresh
grad trying to compete to earn
a living,”
said Mark.

Activities such as this aim to equip and empower students with the
knowledge and skills required to land a job. Around 400 graduating
students from different colleges participated in the event.

“In today’s workplace, clearly there is a shortage of talents and there
are various reasons why: from resignations to the effects of this
pandemic and more. This is clearly a way to check untapped groups
of young talent who can be valuable assets to any of the PTC
business units in the future,”
added John.

Mark wrapped up by citing a very important takeaway for the
graduating students he interviewed. “As graduating students who
will soon embark on a new journey, you have to show your would-be
employers the following competencies: T-Teamwork/A-Adaptability
and G-Gratitude!”
