Last November 26, the Sea Mariners team led by PTC and its
implementing partner, ASSIST Asia, conducted two virtual sessions of its
First Learning Activity. The workshop centered on Project Management
and was designed to help capacitate the officers of Sea Mariners ships in
initiating, planning, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating their
respective youth-led activities.

The morning session was attended by officers of Luzon ships from SOS
Children’s Village and Tanza National High School (TNHS) ships. While the
afternoon session was attended by the officers from Iloilo ships, from
PHINMA University of Iloilo (UI), Western Technology Institute (WIT), and St.
Therese College (STC). The sea mariners officers were able to brainstorm on
projects anchored on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) of the United
Nations. The officers of the ships who completed the 1st Learning Session will
share their learnings from the Project Management workshop with their
respective ship members.
