Mapua PTC CMET proudly presents latest batch of graduates

Mapúa-PTC College of Maritime Education (Mapúa-PTC CMET), a unique
industry-academic linkage between PTC and the Mapúa University, at its
Laguna campus – the Malayan Colleges Laguna (MCL), presented its latest
batch of graduates at the 20th MCL Commencement Exercises held at the
Philippine International Convention Center last September 10. It was MCL’s
first face-to-face graduation ceremony since the pandemic started. A total of
1100 graduates from different colleges received their diplomas with 31 of
them coming from the Mapúa-PTC CMET.

Mr. Fabio Pompetti, Secretary and Consul of the Embassy of Belgium, was
among the honored guest and assisted Capt. Armando Ternida, Dean of
Mapúa-PTC CMET, in awarding the diplomas to the cadets and cadettes of
Batch 2022.

“I would like to congratulate the graduates and I think this is one of the
best days of their lives because it’s a moment where everything is
possible,” said Mr. Fabio Pompetti. “At the same time, they managed to
finish their study and achieve their diploma. I wish them the best of luck
in their career. Don’t be afraid of failure and the most important thing is
to always keep moving on.”

Ms. Karen Avelino, PTC Executive Director of Business Development for
Shipping and Senior Vice President of Cruise Operations, and Mr. Dean
Anthony Canson, PTCi Crewing Manager and Mapúa-PTC CMET alumni,
also graced the event.
